As a coach, Beatrice leverages twenty years of experience in the arts rooted in cultural equity, with profound depth of intuition, and empathy. Beatrice has an interdisciplinary approach to coaching that centers on holistic development, cultural equity, and authenticity. A client’s whole being is engaged to identify core values and key priorities and facilitate the development of new habits, skills and/or goals.
Beatrice uses tools, exercises, and non-traditional homework assignments that draw on a wide variety of cultural practices that bring clients into deeper conversation with their values and priorities. Traditional activities like skill/and asset mapping, drafting mission, value or equity statements or creating a 2-year plan are mixed with somatic techniques that bring the body’s knowledge into the conversation.
Curriculum for each individual is determined through a combination of discovery and goal assessment. Curriculum topics may include but are not limited to: developing emotional intelligence for the workplace, process mapping, non-profit management, organizational health, network building, community building, professionalism for administrators of color, managing up, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), EDI lens development, effective communication, workload management, skill improvement, community engagement, grants management, grant assessment, public speaking, and performance review preparation.
First session is 90 minutes and 75 minutes for each additional session. Additional time is billed in 15 min increments. Many of Beatrice’s tools are designed for virtual or analog use. Beatrice, primarily, works virtually, through the Zoom video conferencing platform but has limited availability for in-person sessions available in Vallejo or San Francisco.
